Artist Bio
Nyeshia “Jaze’ and definitely” Padmore's life is amazing and definitely unique.. while having been taught art by her amazing Mother Francisca V. Padmore who was a natural artist and fashion designer. Born and raised in NYC. Art always came a little easy to her as a child as well as dancing and singing. She recalls winning a poster contest in elementary school and had to often prove that she could draw, by drawing characters on the chalkboard because people knew her mother was an artist as well. In fact, her house is filled with art and music. Her Dad is a drummer and little sisters could draw, sing and play the drums, saxophone and piano. Art was always considered her baby. Art was something that she enjoyed doing that brought her back to her center. After Junior High she auditioned and went to the famed LaGuardia H.S. Of the Performing Arts in Manhattan and graduated with a Visual Arts accredited diploma. There she participated in shows, worked in the gallery, assisted the art department and discovered her passion for impressionism, realism and surrealist artists like Degas, Caravaggio and Dali. Salvador Dali is strangely born on the same day as her. In college she studied drawing anatomy, worked on drawing techniques and was also in the school’s Art exhibit at Westchester Community College. While in college she also got the opportunity to study abroad on a partial scholarship in Switzerland Atelier du Jazz and Art. While there danced in festivals with Danse Sinopia and studied styles of painting. Her life has been so extremely magical plus colorful. After graduating from Westchester Community with an associate degree, then pursued other ventures by teaching as a dance Instructor at the Palomba Dance Academy. . Tapping into her other talents she started acting and as she was pursuing other passions, art continued to always give her pure delight. Many people would often request to get custom made birthday cards, portraits, logos and drawings from her so she kept busy with developing different styles and started incorporating different techniques in her art. As you can clearly see the eclectic vibe her art conveys. She uses mixed medium and loves the usage of bright vivid colors. Street styles of Graffiti have also influenced her art. Overall her mission is to bring joy to the onlookers and to bring happiness to whomever appreciates or purchases her art for years to come. The art that she creates expresses her rhythmic and enigmatic style of life. Always fluidly changing, evolving, and growing by each experience in life, makes the strokes in paint and drawings of her world come to life! She thanks God for her talents and loves to share them, especially her art with the world! And is extremely honored to have been a part of the Harlem Fine Arts Show 2021! She will be featured in an art exhibit at the Long Island Library in November.
